When you study with VU Online, you can receive personalised academic support in a number of ways. You can reach out to your unit coordinator through weekly online office hours and seminars. You will also be able to receive 1:1 academic support via phone, SMS, or email on nights and weekends from your online facilitator. In addition, you will also have access to IT, library, literacy, numeracy and counselling support during your studies.

If you would like to receive credit for past study or skills, you can apply for Advanced Standing. In order to apply, you will need to discuss your situation with your course coordinator or academic advisor. As a VU Online student, you will be using VU Collaborate. We’ve designed VU Collaborate to make it easy for you to connect with your academics, facilitators and fellow students. You will use VU Collaborate to access your coursework, resources, assignments and feedback.

Our online postgraduate degrees do not include exams. You’ll focus on experiential learning through case studies, self-determined assessments and unit content that is highly relevant to your future role.
Note: In order to gain Teacher Registration, you will need to sit an external CASPER Suitability test. For Financial Planning students, there are 2 exams in 2 units that are required as these units are accredited by the Tax Practitioners Board (TPA). These units are BAO6005: Taxation Law of Australia and BAO7008: Financial advice, corporations & commercial law.

Through VU Online’s postgraduate Block Model, you will study one unit at a time over each seven week study period. This allows you to immerse yourself in each unit and complete as many as six units per year, graduating sooner than traditional part-time study models. You cannot study full-time with VU Online. Our courses are designed to be studied one unit at a time over seven week study periods. This means you can study up to six units per year, which allows you to graduate faster than traditional part-time study models.
